It has lights that indicate sound levels from where you placed your monitor and additionally it has a quite good feature that controls the light of the receiver. The good thing is that is comes with batteries and has a pager function, when you forget where you left it. According to some users the only missing future is that you cannot talk a baby monitor so that your voice would come out in the base. To pan up, obviously this is not a top shelf monitor, however for that price it does what all the necessary.
